My car been with Pepboys almost a year. I ask to put a thermostate in and freon for the air condition. I was call and was quoted a bill almost 8000.00 for everything they found wrong. The manager said that was complimentary. Than was quoted a bill for 1800.00 . waited for my car to be fixed after a week pass by. No one called . I came up there to find out my car has been broken in all my tools was stolen out of my truck. In very small writing the manager say Pepboys not responsible for stolen items. Car still sits up no one working on my car. Every time a went up there to check om my car it was all ways and excused that some one on the outside of the business was coming to fix on my car. Straw on my like it been abandoned. After putting the car in the shop of 8/25 finally 11/26 I was told the car was fixed and it can be picked up. And it was not going to be a charge due to the long wait and tools been stolen I guest. Well the car was running worser after than before putting it in the shop.

Brought my car to get brakes done and they told me my front control arms were snapped. When asking about it before leaving they said they were in the beginning stages and were ripping. I was quoted $1700 for front control arms, shocks & struts. Took it to another shop for a second opinion and was told there’s nothing wrong with my car at all. Shocks and struts are working as they should and control arms are perfect. They also informed me that the noise we heard was from bent brake hardware that they were able to bend back. Staff was friendly but I’m really not sure if they were trying to take advantage of the fact that I know nothing about cars as a young female or what that was but I’d suggest getting a second opinion if they try upselling.

I booked an appointment after being told by autozone that I needed a new starter. I ordered the part from amazon and brought it with me to my appointment. I ended up finding out that they could order the part for me at roughly the same price and give me a warranty for the work and labor, so I decided to get the part and labor done at pepboys. The staff was very nice, and I am satisfied with my service!

Avoid Pep Boys at all costs. Came in for an oil change (was told 1 hour, waited 4). They convinced me to get new brake pads, and immediately after, my car became unsafe to drive—brakes barely worked and the bottom scraped the ground. Brought it back and they kept my car for 7 days with almost zero communication. I was lied to multiple times about when it would be ready. At one point, I was told my car was “on the way”—I waited over an hour and a half and it still wasn’t there. I literally had to call the police because they wouldn’t give me my car back when I asked for it, then when an officer was about to be sent on his way they showed up with my car. Worst part? The problem STILL isn’t fixed. I got no explanation, they just handed me the keys and i left in frustration. The person who was working on my car was also stated the manager, his name is Travas. I’d like to state that everyone was nice and friendly, but unprofessional. They also returned my car in terrible condition—dirty, trash inside, belongings thrown around, safety features turned off, and now there’s a stain on my leather. I wish I saved myself the hassle and not have let them work on my car besides the oil chan

The Pep Boys team (specifically, the location: 2525 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32303) went above and beyond to repair my 2010 Honda CRV. I brought my car in with a broken serpentine belt and not only were they able to repair this issue quickly. The team also acknowledged additional pressing repairs and worked with me to prioritize the work that needed to be done, with cognizance of my budget, the importance of completing the repair in the timely manner, and making sure that my car was fit to return to the road. I need to highlight that although the team was very busy with a range of other customers, they took the time to walk me through what needed to be done and went above and beyond to get my car back on the road in a timely manner. I highly recommend this Pep Boys location, and I will be a repeat customer in the future should the need arise.
